The Safari Company does not promote or encourage elephant back safaris or any interaction where animals are used as part of an acitivty i.e. walking with lions. We are using this page to create awareness of animals being used as entertainment or activities. When a wild animal is rescued and cannot be reintroduced back into its natural habitat, it should be cared for in a responsible manner in a rehabilitation centre. We encourage you to read more about captive bred lions and where animals end up after they grow to large to participate in activities such as walking with lions. There are two incredible examples of habituated elephant herds that roam free in wilderness areas after elephant back safaris were stopped. Now these herds serve an important purpose in helping visitors understand the fascinating world of the African Elephant.
