One of the major attractions and events taking place in Eats Africa is the Great Wildebeest Migration where around 1,8 million blue wildebeest and large numbers of zebra congregate and move between the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania and the Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya. They run the gauntlet of fast flowing rivers filled with massive Nile crocodiles, a constant search for food and the ever-present predators that follow the herds. The below map shows a rough indication of what to expect when planning a visit to East Africa to see the Great Wildebeest Migration.
Please note that the herd movement is dependant on the rain in the different areas of the Serengeti/Masai Mara eco-system and the map is purely an indication.
