DAY
2, 3: WALKING SAFARI
Each day guests enjoy a four to five hour morning walk, and
a short pre-sunset walk and night game-drive combination. Walking
ensures a definite up close and personal experience of the bush.
While
observing a herd of elephant from a safe distance or tracking
a rhino is possible, the emphasis is on micro-systems, and time
is spent observing spiders, ant lions, dung beetles and other
small yet perfect wonders of nature. The walks always cover
new terrain, ensuring a comprehensive wilderness experience.
Nocturnal game drives reveal the primal drama of the big cats
in their inexorable quest for prey.
Reasonable
standards of fitness are a prerequisite but distances covered
will depend on wildlife encounters. Guests will be taught the
basics of the art of tracking.
A
maximum of eight guests can be accommodated on this safari.
DAY
4: THE SAFARI ENDS
A
short 1 to ½ hour stroll generates a good appetite for
a hearty brunch. At 11pm guests are transferred to their departure
point.

Season:
South Africa is an all year round destination. There are however
certain regions which are more popular at different times. The
northern regions are good destinations in the winter months
as the game-viewing is at its best and the temperatures are
very mild (maximum 20-23ºC). There is very little winter
rainfall in the north. The southern regions are summer destinations
with low summer rainfall and temperatures reaching 28-30ºC
or higher on beautiful days.
