DAY 1,2 & 3: CAPE TOWN
On arrival in Cape Town transfer to The Table Bay situated at the V&A Waterfront. This is the perfect base to explore the many attractions on offer in Cape Town and the surrounding areas.

DAY 4 & 5: FRANSCHHOEK
Transfer to Franschhoek about 45 minutes from Cape Town. Le Quartier Français is situated in the historic town of Franschhoek, the gourmet capital of South Africa, and offers luxury accommodation and a superb fine dining restaurant with a choice selection of local wines. Margot Janse, rated as one of the top female chefs in South Africa won acclaim for Le Quartier Français restaurant as “The Top Choice Restaurant in the Western Cape for 2000”. Dinners offer a fusion of flavours influenced by fresh local produce. DAY 6 & 7: PLETTENBERG BAY & KNYSNA
Travel back to Cape Town for a flight to George. Transfer to Tsala Treetops Lodge in the heart of the Garden Route. A symphony of stone, wood, glass and water high above the floor of the magnificent indigenous forests of the Garden Route, between Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. Eastern and European flavours blend with the cultures of Africa to reflect in the tastes, rhythms and colours of the hand crafted fittings and superb cuisine. Elevated wooden walkways meander through the trees to ten exclusive and very private suites, all with plunge pools. DAY 8 & 9: ADDO ELEPHANT NATIONAL PARK
Transfer to George and fly to Port Elizabeth. Travel to Gorah Elephant Camp. Embark on a noble safari to an outpost of tented romance. Gorah is a premier camp set in the malaria-free Addo National Park, home to the densest elephant population on earth. Restored to its 19th century Colonial splendour and period furnished, the main house reflects opulence and delivers the meticulous service characteristic of a Hunter Hotels property. The 10 luxury tented suites are a haven in the wilderness. Elephant encounters at matchlessly close range and priceless wildlife viewing will complement your Garden Route adventure. Gorah Elephant Camp is a 4,500 ha concession situated right in the heart of the Addo Elephant National Park, home to the densest population of elephant in the world.

KWANDWE PRIVATE GAME RESERVE
Kwandwe Private Game Reserve is located in the beautiful and historically rich Eastern Cape along 30 kilometres of privately-owned river frontage, surrounded by 16 000 hectares of exclusive, malaria-free wilderness. Overlooking the Great Fish River, the lodge is masterfully contoured to blend with the magnificent landscape. Kwandwe means “Place of the Blue Crane” in Xhosa, and is home to a population of these majestic endangered birds. Accommodation is in 9 luxurious suites that feature bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, indoor and outdoor showers, plunge pools, personal bars, salas, portable phone for room service and covered verandas. DAY 10: FLY FROM GARDEN ROUTE TO KRUGER AREA - SABIE SAND
After breakfast transfer to Port Elizabeth in time to connect with your flight to Johannesburg and onwards to the Sabie Sand Game Reserve to overnight at the luxurious Singita Boulders or Ebony Lodge.

DAY 11 - 12: SINGITA PRIVATE GAME RESERVE
From KMIA transfer to Singita’s luxurious award winning lodges, Ebony and Boulders. Singita is located in the heart of South Africa’s finest game viewing area, the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, where your professional team of ranger and tracker will take you on a voyage of discovery with the ultimate wildlife safari. Both Ebony and Boulders offer equal standards of luxury, tranquility and seclusion amidst ”Big Five” country in the Sabi Sand Reserve. DAY 13: JOHANNESBURG - SAXON

DAY 14 & 15: LUXURY RAIL SAFARI FROM JOHANNESBURG TO CAPE TOWN

DAY 16: END OF SAFARI

After breakfast, transfer to the airport in time for your flight home or onward destination.

Depending on what you would like to see and do, will dictate the best time of the year to visit South Africa. The winter months (May to August) are good for game viewing where the summer months (September to April) offer spectacular scenery and wonderful weather. Special activities such as shore-based whale watching from Hermanus (July to November peaking August/September) can also help you decide when to visit.
