Arusha Coffee Lodge is the first truly five-star hotel in Arusha with sweeping views over our coffee estate and Mount Meru. Inspired by a traditional working coffee plantation, we have created an amazing interactive guest experience, with our accommodation providing the highest level of comfort. All private chalets feature multi-level living areas with huge balconies and stunning fireplaces. Each chalet has its own coffee percolator to get the true aroma of the coffee estate!!
Dinner is served at Redds African Grill House, which is situated alongside Arusha Coffee Lodge.
Redds African Grill House was inspired by the legendary African Smoke Houses. The menu features an amazing array of both traditional Tanzanian cuisine and other African specialities. Most of the ingredients are freshly supplied from our neighbouring farm, and there is also a special al-la-carte menu for the not so adventurous.
Overnight: Arusha Coffee Lodge on Half board basis.
DAY 2: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, which we like to serve directly on your private balcony, you will be met by your professional guide and briefed on the entire trip. After briefing you depart for Tarangire National Park with picnic lunches.
Tarangire National Park is renowned for its elephant population and gigantic Baobab Trees. The Park has the highest worldwide density of African elephants and is a bird watchers paradise, especially in the areas around the Tarangire River. During the dry season vast amounts of wildlife migrate from the dry Masai steppe to the Tarangire River giving guests a great opportunity to view herds and diversity of wildlife.
After a full day in the park, transfer to Tarangire Treetops for a relaxing evening and dinner.
Tarangire Treetops is situated in the Tarangire Conservation Area, a wildlife management area of 57,000 acres, and a mere 98 kms (70 miles) from Arusha. Our location, just outside Tarangire National Park, allows us to offer activities such as walking safaris, mobile camping and night drives that cannot be conducted inside the Park. An innovative and stunningly original property consisting of giant tree houses built upon platforms amongst a cluster of Baobab, Mopani and Wild Fig Trees. Each en-suite unit has a private veranda and lounge area with sweeping views over our Conservation area. The 'Baobab bar,' built around a gracious old Baobab, is a great spot to enjoy cocktails, watch the incredible Tarangire sunsets and view the elephant watering hole below - game viewing from another angle!
Night-game drive in our open Land Rover.
Overnight: Tarangire Treetops on Full Board basis.
