The Okavango Safari: A safari for the traveller with limited time. A wonderful and relaxing experience for the nature lover. Around the campfire at night, beneath the stars, listening to the calls of the wild. in the heart of game country. We stay in secluded bush camps within the Moremi Wildlife Reserve.

DAY 1: MAUN - BUSH CAMP
We are welcomed at Maun airport by our guide, and transferred to our camp near Maun. We relax around the campfire in the evening, under the bright stars of the southern hemisphere. (Dinner).

DAY 2/3: OKAVANGO AREA OF MOREMI
The reserve is situated in the north-eastern corner of the Okavango Delta. It is a pure wilderness area of great beauty with rich, green vegetation, palm trees, teeming with birdlife and a vast population of wild animals. We spend our time exploring the reserve during game drives and boat explorations on the channels and lagoons. (All meals).

DAY 4/5: MOREMI WILDLIFE RESERVE
We travel to the Khwai flood plains and enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives. We have sufficient time to relax and unwind in this wilderness area. (All meals).

DAY 6: MOREMI - MAUN
We return to Maun and have lunch at a local restaurant (own expense). We transfer to the airport to board our onward flight. (Breakfast).

The itinerary will depend on local conditions and may operate in the reverse direction.

GREEN SEASON ITINERARY: (Jan - March)
Subject to accessibility of Moremi Game Reserve
DAY 1 : Maun
DAY 2/3 : Central Kalahari
DAY 4/5 : Nxai Pan National Park
DAY 6 : Maun

Serviced safari: No camp duties.
Accommodation: 5 nights camping in secluded bush camps in the Botswana Reserves.
Meals: Prepared by the guide and cook, all meals when camping. Lunch not included on days 1 & 6.
Group size: 6-9 participants or 10-16 (two vehicles travel together on certain departures).
Transfers: Airport transfers are provided in Maun on day 1 and day 6.
Sleeping bag hire: €22 - must be booked in advance.

Includes:
5 Nights camping with all meals, Botswana park fees, services of a professional guide, game drives by custom built 4x4 game viewing vehicle, use of camping equipment for the duration of the safari, one water activity exploring the Okavango Delta (depending on water level).

Excludes:
All flights, airport taxes, drinks, gratuities and personal expenses, lunch on day 1 and day 6, comprehensive travel insurance.

Best Season:
Depending on what you would like to see and do, will dictate the best time of the year to visit Botswana. The winter months (May to August) are good for game viewing where the summer months (September to April) offer spectacular scenery and also the best birdlife as the migratory birds return from up north (central Africa and Europe) to breed in their thousands in specific places such as the Okavango Delta.
