The Classic Okavango Safari: Explore Botswana's finest wildlife sanctuaries on this fully serviced classic mobile safari 'under canvas' in secluded bush camps situated in the famous Moremi Wildlife Reserve. A safari crew travelling in a separate vehicle erects the comfortable camp. A professional safari guide conducts early morning and late afternoon game drives. You will have time to relax and absorb the magnificent wilderness atmosphere of our secluded private bush camps. An experienced chef prepares excellent bush cuisine, enjoyed in the dining tent or under the stars. Africa in style.

ITINERARY:
DAY 1: MAUN - OKAVANGO AREA OF MOREMI
Our guide welcomes us at Maun Airport and we travel to a secluded bush camp in Moremi Wildlife Reserve. After a delicious three course dinner we enjoy the sounds of the African night. (dinner)

DAY 2: OKAVANGO AREA OF MOREMI
The reserve is situated in the north eastern corner of the Okavango Delta. It is a pure wilderness area of great beauty, rich green vegetation, palm trees, teeming with birdlife and a vast population of animals. We spend our time exploring the area on game drives and we travel into the heart of the Delta on a boat exploration cruise. (full board)

DAY 3/4: MOREMI WILDLIFE RESERVE - KHWAI
After breakfast, we travel to the Khwai flood plains, exploring the area on the way. Our camp has been set up in another remote part of the reserve. We enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives uncovering the secrets of this wilderness area. (full board)

DAY 5: MOREMI TO MAUN
After breakfast, we return to Maun at +-14h00 and have lunch at the local restaurant (own expense). We transfer to the airport to board our onward flight. (breakfast)

The itinerary will depend on local conditions and may operate in reverse direction.

Included: 4 nights accommodation in a mobile tented camp with beds and private facilities. All meals & table wine with dinner when in camp. Botswana park fees and game viewing activities.

Activities:
Game viewing by open 4x4 vehicle, boat cruises, walking.

Best season:
Depending on what you would like to see and do, will dictate the best time of the year to visit Botswana. The winter months (May to August) are good for game viewing where the summer months (September to April) offer spectacular scenery and also the best birdlife as the migratory birds return from up north (central Africa and Europe) to breed in their thousands in specific places such as the Okavango Delta.

Fly from Maun to the Kalahari and visit Deception Valley Lodge for a 2-night Kalahari experience, with Bushmen at hand, to share their knowledge, while you can relax in total luxury at this unique safari lodge.
