Okavango Delta area of Moremi - Moremi Wildlife Reserve - Savute -
Chobe National Park - Victoria Falls

MB Code: Maun to Victoria Falls by road | VF Code: Victoria Falls to Maun by road

The Botswana Eplorer is a serviced camping safari travelling to the Okavango Delta and Moremi by light aircraft. From here you travel by road to Savute, Chobe and Victoria Falls or vice versa. This safari travels with a maximum of seven guests, in a specially customised 4x4 safari vehicle, and accompanied by an expert safari guide. Window seats are guaranteed throughout the safari. This makes The Botswana Explorer the ideal safari for photographers.

SAFARI ITINERARY: MAUN TO VICTORIA FALLS

DAYS 1 & 2: MAUN, OKAVANGO DELTA
Transfer by light aircraft from Maun into the heart of the Okavango Delta. Explore the crystal-clear channels, islands and waterways by mekoro (dug-out canoe), and enjoy game-viewing walks on the islands. Spend two overnights at our exclusive campsite in a private concession area with a complement of camp staff to cater for you.

DAYS 3 & 4: MOREMI WILDLIFE RESERVE
Continue by light aircraft to Khwai – North Gate region of Moremi Wildlife Reserve. Set-aside in 1963 by the Batawana tribe, the Reserve is rated as Africa's most beautiful wildlife sanctuary. Spend your days on extensive and interpretive game-drives, and two overnights camping in the Reserve.

DAYS 5, 6, 7 & 8: CHOBE NATIONAL PARK
Travel to Savute – excellent for lion and other predator viewing – where you will spend two overnights camping next to the dry Savute Channel. Depending on the time of the year, huge animal concentrations are attracted to this area. From Savute, move up to northern Chobe where you will camp for two nights in the Serondela area of the National Park. This is the heart of elephant country and you may spend many hours watching the huge herds in and around the waters of the Chobe River. Northern Chobe is renowned for its large variety of bird and animal life, beautiful scenery and magnificent sunsets.

DAY 9: VICTORIA FALLS
It is a short drive from Chobe National Park to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe where you will welcome the chance to wash off Botswana's dust, relax over a cold beer, and enjoy the varied entertainment and facilities at Victoria Falls. Your entrance fee to the Falls is included in the safari fare. Overnight accommodation is at The Kingdom Hotel in twin-bedded rooms with private facilities on a bed and breakfast basis.

DAY 10: SAFARI TERMINATES
After breakfast at the hotel, the Botswana Explorer ends.
