Nasikia Tanzania Camps is an intimate collection of mobile and semi-permanent camps (glamping) located in the prime wildlife viewing areas of Tanzania's northern safari circuit - experience the wilds of Tarangire, the incredible herds of the southern Serengeti plains, the wildlife-filled central areas and a short drive to the gauntlet of the Mara River.
With high quality canvas between your comfortable bed and the sounds of the African night, these camps provide the ideal accommodation for lovers of the great outdoors, while retaining the coziness of a warm bed, a hot shower, gratifying cuisine and a welcoming team. |

'Nasikia' means 'I feel' or 'I hear' in Swahili, and so we want people to feel at home and to hear the calls of the wild during their stay. It was also important for us to be accessible in terms of good quality accommodations for reasonable prices. We have established three semi-permanent and mobile camps within Tarangire, Serengeti and Ndutu at Ngorongoro so that our guests can truly experience glamping with warm beds and hot showers and be in close proximity to the incredible wildlife. |

Nasikia Central Camp is well placed throughout the year to enjoy the best of Northern Tanzania – by remaining central, we are able to sit back and watch as resident and migratory wildlife pass right in front of our door.

Nasikia Mobile Camp is well placed throughout the year as it follows the Great Wildebeest Migration and other amazing wildlife on offer from Ndutu in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the northern plains of the Serengeti National Park. By remaining a mobile camp, we are able to offer these two areas that are the jewel in the crown for African wildlife viewing and game driving – the highlights of East Africa.

Nasikia Tarangire Camp is located in the heart of Tarangire, Tanzania's wild land and landscapes. Tarangire is famed for its massive elephant herds, true sense of wilderness and a gentle backdrop of baobabs. It is the lesser visited but more intriguing park on the northern circuit.

Each tent is 12m long by 4m wide made from well known heavy duty safari rip-stop canvas and imported from South Africa. The tents are side or front facing and you are met at the entrance by a patio area with chairs and a table for relaxing when you have a moment. The front of the tents zips fully open, including a layer of mosquito netting and the rip-stop canvas (it also zips closed completely with both layers).
Once you step into the tent into the bedroom area, you will see an arrangement of furniture like a storage chest (with extra blankets), matting, wardrobe, luggage rack, torch/whistle/camp information folder, bedside tables and beds. All the fittings depict colours in natural and tones to adhere to the intrinsic area we are located. We offer double, twin, single, triple and family (quad) tents and each bed is fully netted for custom made protection from mosquitoes and insects. The beds are fitted with imported cotton sheets, double pillows, duvets and bed runners for your comfort.
The tents have netted windows down each side of the tent which you can fully open only the canvas remaining at all times with the mosquito netting stitched strongly into the actual tent. We have sewn lightweight curtains and hung them along each side of the tent for privacy and also just to watch as they romantically sway in the breeze.
Then comes the bathroom area, which can be accessed directly from the bedroom with a separate. Once inside, there is a bathroom stand with a ceramic wash basin with running water via stylish taps, a mirror, a supply of natural based bathroom products and linen. Also in this area is a ceramic flushing toilet, encased in a wooden frame for stability. The shower area has a 40 litre shower bucket put up on a pulley system as you require – it is enough for a shower for two.
From the entrance to the bedroom and onto the bathroom, each tent is fitted with an extensive solar lighting system for your convenience.
Please consider careful and responsible use of water and lighting when at the camp, to extend accessibility for all.
For charging electrical equipment, we run a generator in the evenings for the dining and lounge tents. |
