Kabbo can be categorized more as a floating lodge than a houseboat. She consists of 2 decks - the lower deck has eight en-suite cabins with sliding glass doors opening on to the pristine wilderness that is the Okavango Delta. The boat has been designed to offer our guests’ unrivaled views of the crystal clear waterways, abundant bird life and crystal clear waters of the Okavango Delta and the waves of papyrus reeds lining the sides of the beautiful channels.

The Upper Deck is approximately 3 meters above the waterline, where the dining area, bar and sundecks are situated. This design offers views that are simply breathtaking when having a sundowner, the privacy and convenience of cabins that are en-suite... and ample space for our guests to have some 'alone' time. The top deck is tastefully decorated with local art, comfortable couches in neutral colors and hard wood furnishings.

The 8 cabins are comfortable with twin beds, mosquito nets and en-suite facilities. Every cabin opens up to the beautiful Okavango Delta with a glass sliding door. The direct views of the crystal clear channels of the Delta from your bedroom give you a sense of closeness to the environment. Imagine waking up in the morning to the call of a fish eagle and the sight of an African sunrise over the papyrus fringed channels of the Okavango.

main area
The main area is on the upper deck and consists of the dining area, the bar and the sundeck. This deck is 3 metres above the water line which means unobstructed views of the surrounding areas. All meals are inclusive, as are tea, coffee and drinking water. Wine is served with dinner.

activities
Kabbo has tender boats which assist in the activities offered. The activities available include fishing, bird-watching, boat safaris and visits to Tsodilo Hills. The latter is a World Heritage Site with possibly the richest concentration of San Rock Paintings in the world. One water-based activity per day is included in the rate.

access
Access to Kabbo is from Maun, either by road transfer to Shakawe (approximately 3 hours) or by light aircraft (approximately 1 hour). Transfers from Livingstone and Kasane via the Caprivi Strip can also be arranged.
