• A 'must-see' for those who enjoy spectacular scenery, be sure to diaries your visit to fall over thewest coast floral extravaganza when the desert-like terrain is transformed into a carpet of flowers. It takes place from mid-August to mid-September.
• Winter can get cold, with rain and sometimes snow in the higher altitudes. |

This is predominantly a camping trip, although alternative accommodation is available at most of the sites. The campsites are generally comfortable, if sparse in certain instances. Children will have lots to learn about the wide variety of intereating sites that will be encountered along the way. Teach the kids about the abundant flora, the rock art and the fascinating geology. The scenery changes daily, so there are many interesting and beautiful attractions to see along the way. |
