Our Madagascar photographic tour takes us to the most famous of Madagascar's lemur reserves, home to no less than six lemur species. The Ring-tailed Lemurs and 'dancing' Verreaux Sifakas in particular has turned this small protected area into one of the prime Malagasy photographic destinations.

The unforgettable song of the Indri drifts through these forests, the largest extant lemur species. Exotic birds, chameleons and reptiles are also well represented.

The Lower Omo Valley is situated within Africa's famous and, geologically-speaking, rapidly expanding Great Rift Valley.

Over a dozen distinctive ethnic groups exist here, many of whom live lives little touched by the modern world. This is largely due to the area's remoteness and prior near-inaccessibility, forming a natural barrier to modernization and the detribalization of the Omo Valley. We will also take time to enjoy the spectacular scenery and wildlife of the region.

The Masai Mara and the adjoining Loita plains form the northern-most (8,000 square km) portion of the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, a 25,000 square km area. The eco-system is home to the World's greatest wildlife spectacle, the annual wildebeest migration! These grazers, together with Plains Zebra and Thompson's gazelle traverse the eco-system through the year, and whilst there are resident animals in the Mara throughout, numbers swell to gigantic proportions during the drier season, July/August to October/November.
