Brave Elephant Stands His Ground

In Addo Elephant National Park, situated in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa, Conrad Cramer captured this amazing picture of a young elephant standing his ground against a large, old buffalo bull.

The little ellie got a few bumps from the buffalo (these old guys are known as dagga bulls – grumpy, loners and full of mud), but got away with only a major lesson learnt. Someone commented on this picture – “An elephant never forgets…”. We might see some action in the next few years! Just wait until this little guy grows up…
