Chamilandu
Camp
Chamilandu offers travelers the classic African adventure. Offering the African
connoisseur comfort, class and beauty in one of Luangwa’s prime river
locations, Chamilandu hosts the perfection that is magical Africa. A series
of Ox-bow lagoons yield diverse habitats and attracts abundant wildlife. Chamilandu
walking safaris are a constant mix of awe and information, excitement and
inspiration. Catering for all safari tastes the camp offers both morning and
evening walks and combinations of day and night game drives. After a dawn
walk, enjoy a hearty brunch then relax before a late afternoon game drive.
Accommodation consists of 2-meter high tree house chalets. The tasteful blend
of wrought iron and brass offsets the creams and pastels that welcome you
to recline and relax. Walking Safaris escorted by some of the top guides in
the Luangwa Valley.
Chindeni
Camp
The camp nestles on the apex of a permanent oxbow lagoon, offset by the magnificent
Nchendeni Hills. This is the ideal spot for both the avid and intrepid Game
spotter as well as the more sedentary visitors who wish to observe nature
at it's best without too much personal effort. The lush and wide permanent
lagoon which stretches out from just beneath your own private balcony ensures
that you need make little effort as you lazily watch all types of game parade
before you in the joys of the verdant pantry at your feet.
Accommodation consists of chalets that are raised on wooden decking and four
luxury en-suite tents. Each tent has its own raised veranda from which to
view the resident game and enjoy the serene yet breathtaking tranquility of
the vast lagoon, from a vantage point of relative safety. Ancient ebony trees
with their sweet fruit shade the bar and dining area and an adjacent, gently
sloping walkway provides access to a lagoon-side retreat.
Bilimungwe
Camp
Bilimungwe trails camp is nestled in riverine forest along the picturesque
banks of the Luangwa River.
The camp consists of 4 reed and thatch chalets with en-suite showers, toilet
and double vanities. Each chalet has two queen sized double beds with large
mosquito nets and an individual rechargeable lighting system.
Guest Facilities includes a rustic dining area and fully stocked bar that
offers panoramic views of Bilimangwe's water hole and the abundant resident
game that it attracts. The thatched dining canopy provides a cool and comfortable
environment in which to enjoy this idyllic setting. The surrounding forests
of evergreen shade trees form a majestic backdrop for those seeking the unique
African experience.
