Planet
Baobab
In addition to Planet
Baobab, the Kalahari Surf Club is a temporary or "fly" camp located
on the edge of Ntwetwe Pan, overlooking the vast nothingness of the Makgadikgadi.
From our Surf Club, Guests can cruise across the vast baking soda void on four-wheel
drive quad bikes and sleep out under the five billion star-spangled ceiling
of the Makgadikgadi.
Other activities include: tracking elusive elephant, visiting the stone tool
sites of early man as well as guided walks from Planet Baobab introducing you
to the cleverly adapted fauna and flora of the Kalahari desert. A visit to Planet
Baobab and the Kalahari Surf Club offers cultural understanding, insights into
the history of early man and ecologically correct access to the mysterious beauty
of the Makgadikgadi.
