Garth, thanks for the comment. Lesotho is a fascinating country and the 'exclusivity' make it the perfect destination to get away. Let us know when you go fly-fishing again. It might be a nice opportunity to do a piece on fishing in Lesotho.

Excellent report on your adventure Dirk and Sone'. Kathy and I share your delight in the Mountain Kingdom. We have done three or four trips into the hinterland on the back of GTTs in Lesotho. We also know how the weather can change. We did not rough it like you guys but certainly roughed some of the routes taken. Fly fishing Oxbow, exploring the history as well as the dams and the rivers, feeling like you the only inhabitants and to be suddenly blessed with the presence of a couple of curious herdsman. Swopping a packet of Marie biscuits for a picture of the local pony riders. This all has pleasant memories for us. You have rekindled the desire to return sooner rather than later. Cheers Garth

There are so many South Africans (especially retired people) that want to visit Zambia and the falls for 3 nights etc. and they are all put off by being forced to have Yellow Fever Innoculations- it is expensive at R 550 per person- and then still having to travel to Travel Clinics etc..It used to be much cheaper in the old days and given by the District Surgeosn, but since the socalled Travel Clinics have come into the picture, it is off course now a different story again- no it is a money making racket- The government should ensure it is available economically!! -yet ZIMBABWE
just across the bridge does not need yellow fever? Do mosquitos not fly across the bridge? Result Passengers do not fly into Livingstone..This is affecting Tourismn to Zambia badly.

My favourite coast! over 40 years of unbeleivable memories ... nothing can compare to the rustic UNDER stated but comfortable places where you really get down to the basics of just being totally in touch with the the beauty and wonder of our natural world!! Would love to visit, what are prices?
