In arrival at Kigali Airport, you will clear customs and collect your baggage. A representative will be waiting to welcome you and brief you on your safari. Start your journey north that goes through some beautiful terraced hills which are characterized with huge landscape and sometimes as five peaks (Volcanoes) visible. Arriving in Musanze you will be transferred to your hotel which is on the foot of Mountain Sabyinyo at 2000 meters high above the sea level. Upon arrival, your day is at leisure.

Having taken your early breakfast, you will be transferred to the Volcanoes National Park Headquarter for formalities to trek the Mountain Gorillas. In this park there are 8 habituated families visited by tourists.
The Volcanoes national park, located in the Virunga Mountains, A magnificent chain of dormant Volcanoes in the North of the Country, the Park forms part of the extension of the Congo-Nile divide, separating two of Africa’s Most Important watersheds. They are also Home of the World’s Last surviving mountain Gorilla population, currently a mere 700 individuals. Here you have a chance to stay one hour with one of the giant gorilla families.
Depending on the time and how physically fit you will be, the remainder of your day is at leisure.

After a morning breakfast you will go trekking the Golden Monkey in the Volcano National Park.
Trekking to see the golden monkeys is another highlight of Volcanoes National Park. The Golden Monkey (Cercopithecus Mitis Kandti) is a local subspecies of the widespread Sykes Monkey, also known as the “Blue Monkey” and is endemic to the high altitude forests of the Volcanoes National Park area. The monkeys are playful and inquisitive and often spend their time leaping from bamboo branches or frolicking on the forest floor.
There are two habituated groups of Golden Monkey, one group comprises around 80 – 100 members and has its home at the foot of Mt Sabyinyo. As with treks to see the Mountain Gorillas, treks to see the Golden Monkeys take place in the mornings and visitors are permitted to stay for 1 hour with the monkeys.
After the Golden monkey trekking, go back to your lodge for lunch. Afternoon at leisure.

After breakfast drive back to Kigali. On your way to Kigali several stops will be made to admire the scenery. The city tour will include the Kigali Genocide museum, The Art and Craft market for souvenirs, the museum of natural history, etc… depending on clients choice and time.
Kigali was founded in 1907 as small colonial outpost by Dr. Richard Kandt, the first German colonial resident of Rwanda. The city has made tremendous progress since 1994 genocide. Considered one of the safest and friendliest of African capitals, Kigali is blessed with a moderate high altitude climate. It is inhabited by approximately 1 million people who now enjoy the benefits of peace. You will be pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it feels to be among the gentle people of Rwanda who will be delighted to welcome you to their beautiful, exceptionally friendly country.
After the city tour, you will be dropped at your hotel. Overnight at Hotel des Mille Collines on full board basis.
